Why it matters
 

Planning of any kind is to a large degree about minimising risk.  In the built environment, particularly where a planned space is intended to serve large numbers of people, it is essential to accurately predict the operational performance of a design in terms of safety, comfort and economics.  It is Kerbian's job to help make these predictions, and assist the stakeholders in reaching the best possible design and operational decisions for their infrastructure.
